This was the fish I threw on the hog trough for my ever AOTY submission. It was only at the beach the next day while measuring a ling that I found out that the fish had to have its mouth closed for the submission. I thought I'd submit this fish anyway in the hopes that since it was my first fish for AOTY it would be accepted with a possible size adjustment, if needed.
Doesn't hurt to try. I understand if it doesn't qualify. Thanks,

Fish is mouth open in picture. Due to Posing rule, this is subject to a 1.5" deduction in length and is approved via AOTY committee decision as the mouth open was not with the intent to artificially lengthen the fish. As such, fish is 15.25"-1.5"=13.75". -bmb
